It will not stop the freight train of life
From chugging through your neighborhood
And taking you on a journey
You may never quite understand
Except in retrospect..
Most of reality will always remain
Outside of your control
No matter how hard you wish otherwise,
And it might take you a while
To accept this.
Despite how strangely comforting
It may feel to worry about the future;
‘Responsibly’ forecasting worst case scenarios
‘Wisely’ seeing the threat in every opportunity
Dressing up your fear as ‘being smart’-
You may come to find that
There was no greater security
Indulging your anxiety
After all.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own
