We were not fools by choice.
Life had led us to think
That we could never be wrong.
We stumbled
When we thought we were sprinting
We impaled
People we thought we were lifting up
Uprooted
What we thought we were ‘saving’
We thought that good intentions were enough.
That as long as it made sense to us
It would always make sense.
Little did we know
That life would always have more unanswered questions
Than advertised
And we were be fools-
Blind guides to be exact-
For thinking otherwise.
