But the ones
That were waiting in the wings.
The ones willing to
Have uncomfortable conversations
And suffer the consequences
Of speaking truth
And doing justice.
Greatness is not defined
By applause,
It doesn’t begin
In a hall of fame
And it doesn’t happen
When we’re fighting for our own glory.
Greatness comes
In the acceptance of what life
Has brought in this moment
And showing up for it
