There’s no greater victory
Than a victory of the soul-
Overcoming your own selfishness
Walking away from addiction
Finding healing for insecurity
Assuming responsibility for your own actions
Really changing
Putting away victimhood,
Forgiveness
Becoming whole
Freedom
Loving people instead of using people,
Letting go of idols
Clinging on to God.
You might not get a trophy
For any of these things
But you’ll definitely be
Winning within
When things such as these
Are true of you soul.
For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?
