Consistency isn’t everything

Because things change.
People change.
Priorities change
And rules of thumb evolve
Depending on who’s hands
We’re looking at.
Just because we’ve chosen poorly
For so long
Doesn’t mean we will do so forever,
And if we’ve gotten lucky
For the past two years
Doesn’t mean its never going to
Run out.
Indeed our lives tell a story
Over decades,
But we don’t live in years-
We live moment by moment,
Each one an opportunity
For more of the same
Or for something else
Altogether.
