Will the fountain of inspiration
Ever run dry?
Is there a limit that God has set
On the ideas a person can have?
Projects we can attempt?
Is there a cap to human potential?
The obvious answer is no.
But we often live as though
It were otherwise,
As though the good thing you had going
Which was ruined by the pandemic
Is the last good thing
You’ll ever have,
As though the greatest limiting factor of your life
Is that you weren’t chosen
For a program, a school or a job
That you desperately wanted.
Or that you had one good blog,
One good show
One good piece of content that got popular
And now you’ve just
Run out of the good stuff.
Running out of juice
Is a real concern
For anything man-made.
It’s a good thing, then,
That we didn’t make
Ourselves.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
