Your loneliness is an opportunity
To find your place of belonging in Him.
Your pain is an occasion to find the Comfort your heart always needed.
Your losses in this life are your chance to recount
That your greatest gains have already been guaranteed. Eternal.Immovable.
The Object of our hope
Is One who endured the darkest of nights
And emerged two nights later
Scarred but victorious.
For the very thing meant to annihilate Him
Was what led Him out in glory.
As Christians, our hope is not destroyed by opposition
Nor unfavorable circumstances.
If anything, it reminds us that our greatest assets are eternal ones,
Our purest joys intractable.
Grief carves out caverns in our hearts
That God Himself populates;
Our brokenness
Creating more space for the love of God to fill.
When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.
