Why do we write?
For readers to read
Or for writers to do what they really must do.
The reader gets to follow a line (or get lost along it)
Until a destination is reached, a point is made.
And the writer gets to put pen to paper
Starting on a journey with an unknown ending.
And no matter how clearly the writer has paved out the path of the writing
The written work is only passing through the mid of the reader
At its own pace, cast upon the background of each reader’s imagination.
The wonder of writing is to put to paper one’s own journey ,through one’s own mind
And inviting another mind along this same path
Hoping to reach a destination together.
