Some processes are a lot harder than they need to be
Excluding a lot more people than is acceptable
And creating higher hurdles to clear than necessary.
Bureaucracy.
Red tape lines the walls of our institutions,
Clogging up procedures and twisting simple ideas into
Complex algorithms
That only the brightest and the best can figure out.
And that’s a shame. Because it leaves so many of us out.
Procedures and protocol should serve to provide structure to do effective work,
Not barriers to being productive.
And once the scale tips, when guiding principles become binding shackles
Then its worth noting that rules, (like anything man made) can and should be changed,
And red tape can be peeled off…
